yeah — the overall business has become troubled, and this is a frustrating outcome from that. The @Time account on Twitter is one I see and consider notorious for pushing random click-bait content sometimes. The benefit of print was someone actually chose words that would be physically written on to paper and considered the cost of this (at least somewhat). We’ve lost that when every new article is basically free to distribute.
