The biggest struggle I often see in product managers is getting lost in the role and thinking they are in charge of figuring out what to do. They observe other successful product managers articulating a strategy and believing that PM came up with it herself/himself. In reality the best product managers are always collaborative with their teams and help take and synthesize the best ideas coming from their teams into a narrative. Being able to do that and communicate that, and properly give credit to their team is a special talent for the best PMs.
