I completely agree — a great email newsletter is one of the best sources for this right now. Mostly because the cadence is fixed — daily or weekly, among all of the potential options, there is a select set of content being presented. So it already feels thoughtful and limited. I wonder if we can get back to social content feeling more like this vs always seeing the latest and greatest without having time to let things rise up as they are quality. I think I would be willing to pay more for curating taste — but need to find a model where the content delivered works so well and I can easily consume it that I’m ready to pay. Right now I just pay for Netflix since it has it all (on the video side) and then directly for e-books when someone recommends one to me. There needs to be a balance in the middle I think where I pay for someone to deliver me great content and then it gives me access to all of that content but perhaps just that content.
